Dear Friends,
The race is at its last hurdle for the much coveted GTTG Gamer Of The Year Award. Several players have been outstanding in a much competitive yet fair contest where everybody participated enthusiastically.
Therefore GTTG wishes to congratulate you all on your fair-play and and the joy that you brought to the tables of our club. Thank you very much for making this competition a success.
In order to maintain the suspense until the award ceremony, the results of the top tier of the league will not be published until May’s session. We will, however publish the table for the recently created spin-off competition: The Beat Chris League!
The “Beat Chris League” is a homage to one of our greatest players ever – Chris B. – who left us halfway through the competition when he moved to Canada. The setting is clear: Beat Chris’ record 102 points and you will gain… well… maybe something.
Here’s Chris with his wonderfully mischievous grin. Think you can beat his score?

GTTG MANAGEMENT NEWS:
Due to the strain on finances that we’ve all been subject to over the past couple of years, GTTG needs to change the way it is funded.
Up until now we have survived of the kindest donations from our regular attendees, and everybody has been extremely generous in their contributions. Unfortunately, sometimes the amount of donations received has not been sufficient to cover all our expenses (rent, milk, biscuits).
In order to make it easy and fair on everybody, we will be introducing an admission price of £2 for adults (16+) and £1 for children (under 16). This will come into effect on the 29th May session.
The way it will work is not much different from what we do now. The usual piggy bank will serve as “honesty box” and we just expect everybody who comes in to place in it their £2 0r £1 either when arriving or during the session. No one will come ask you for money.
If you have any comments to this or any suggestions, please let us know – either commenting below or emailing us to garforttgamers (at) gmail (dot) com .
Finally, organising GTTG is not much trouble and a few people help with setting up the room, transporting games to and fro, teaching games, cleaning, etc. To all of you our utmost thanks. If anyone has any interest in helping a little bit more in the organising side of things, your help and input would be extremely welcome. Let us know (reply to the email above).
See you Saturday!
GTTG
